Medium-Voltage (MV) Systems
An MV switchgear project starts with a site survey; the dimensions of the existing switchyard and brand compatibility determine which cell type gets selected.

The right cell starts with the right measurement
During the survey, cell width, ceiling height and cable entry direction are recorded; these measurements determine the connection layout of the metal-enclosed cell. If an additional cell is being added to an existing switchyard, compatibility with the busbar system is checked separately.
In a circuit breaker cell, fault-clearing time stays in the 60-80 millisecond range, roughly ten times faster than a human reflex.
What's Included
- MV switchgear site survey and technical compatibility check
- Supply of circuit breaker, disconnector and load-break switch cells
- Busbar system and cable termination installation
- Protection relay parameterization
- Insulation resistance and function tests
- Integration of additional cells into an existing switchyard
- Commissioning and test report
Circuit breaker cell
Used on feeder lines that require high fault-breaking capacity; busbar cross-section is sized to the short-circuit current.
Load-break switch cell
Offers a more economical solution on transformer protection lines; it switches load on and off rather than breaking fault current.
