A two-way supply line

The same team handles both export and import for circuit breakers, disconnectors, transformers and LV/MV switchgear panels. Origin selection, delivery time and budget constraints are balanced from a single point as a result.

CE marking, declaration of conformity and test reports are checked before shipment. Certificates of origin and ATR movement certificates are tracked for exports; HS code classification and exemption applications are tracked for imports. Low-bed or special-platform transport is arranged for heavy, oversized equipment; damage is checked and recorded at the point of delivery.

A letter of credit provides payment security, especially with new counterparties, releasing funds once documents are presented to and verified by the bank. The most common issue is incorrect customs tariff classification, which leads to days of delay and additional duties. Equipment built to a voltage tolerance or grid frequency that doesn't match the destination country is a separate risk, which is why specifications are prepared together with the destination country's grid parameters.

Technical specification

Voltage level, short-circuit current rating, IP protection class and connection dimensions are settled first. Quotations with a suitable manufacturer or buyer proceed from that specification.

Equipment groups

Circuit breakers, load-break switches, gas- or air-insulated MV switchgear, and dry-type or oil-filled transformers are among the most frequently handled items. Shipping an oil-filled transformer by sea also requires packaging that complies with IMDG rules.

How long does an export shipment usually take?

The timeline depends on the equipment's production status. For items available from stock, customs and shipping take about 2-3 weeks; for custom-built transformers or MV switchgear, it can run longer depending on the manufacturer's production schedule.

Which countries do you source equipment from?

Supplier selection is made per project. We work with manufacturers based in Europe and the Far East, and the selection criteria are always technical fit and delivery time.

Can you import equipment that lacks a CE certificate?

For equipment without the mandatory CE marking required for the EU market, a conformity assessment is carried out first. Shipment is not organized until these documents are complete.

Do you cover shipping insurance?

Insurance coverage and cost are agreed with the customer at the quotation stage, and responsibility is defined according to the Incoterms term used.
